Scholarships and awards based on excellence in the study of a language, or teaching in a language, other than English.

China-Alberta Award for Excellence in Chinese
High School Students
Value: $500
Requirements: Must have completed or be completing level 30 of the Chinese Language and Culture program.
First Nations, Métis and Inuit Languages Teacher Bursary
Undergraduate Students
Value: $4,200.00
Requirements: Taking an accredited post-secondary course in an Indigenous language or an Indigenous teaching method.
International Language Teacher Bursary
Undergraduate Students
Value: $4,200
Requirements: Alberta teachers who plan to study a language other than English at an institution outside of Canada.
Languages in Teacher Education Scholarship
Undergraduate Students
Value: $2,500
Requirements: Completing an education program that allows to be a language teacher in Alberta schools after graduation.
Maria Sava Polish Heritage Scholarship
Undergraduate Students
Value: $1,000
Requirements: Must have completed Grade 7 to 9 at Jan Pawel II school.
