Designation of Institutions and Programs
As the purpose of each scholarship and award program differs, the applicable institutions and programs offered will also vary. For details, see the application form for each scholarship or award.
Students will be able to access scholarships and awards designated via grant agreements to post-secondary institutions, which have existing public funding agreements or nominations from post-secondary institutions including but not limited to the following:
- Comprehensive academic and research universities
- Comprehensive community colleges
- Independent academic institutions
- Polytechnic institutions
- Specialized arts and cultural institutions
- Undergraduate universities
- First Nations Colleges
Effective August 1, 2023, no new additional post-secondary institutions (independent academic institutions, specialized arts and cultural institutions, First Nations Colleges are eligible to receive grant agreement funding for the purposes of scholarships, awards and/or bursaries. For profit institutions are not eligible for Alberta Student Aid Scholarship and Award grant funding.
