Application Processing Timelines

SFA Reg.: Schedule 2, s. 8(1)(b)

For scholarships and awards administered by Alberta Student Aid, a completed application and any documents required to confirm a student’s eligibility must be received by Alberta Student Aid within 30 days of the date of the request, or when an Information Request letter is received by the student, by the date indicated in the Information Request letter. 

Applications and any documents received after this date will not be considered, except in exceptional circumstances, which are determined on a case-by-case basis. These parameters may not apply to scholarships and awards administered directly through post-secondary institutions.

An application is not considered complete until:

  • all documents listed as required on the application are received, or
  • all requested missing information has been submitted.
