The Grant MacEwan United World College (UWC) schools and programs were created to promote international understanding through education, service and social responsibility. Grant MacEwan UWC delivers a challenging and transformative educational experience to a diverse cross-section of students, inspiring them to create a more peaceful and sustainable future. These scholarships were named in honour of the late Dr. J.W. Grant MacEwan and administered by Alberta Student Aid.

This scholarship is funded through the Alberta Heritage Scholarship Fund.

Tuition, room and board and one return trip home per year. Each scholarship covers both years of the program.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be Alberta residents between the ages of 16 and 17 and-a-half. Applicants are in the process of completing Grade 11.

Selection Process:

Recipients are evaluated by a selection committee. Scholarships are awarded based on students' academic record, breadth of study, personal accomplishments, community involvement and interests in UWC goals.
