Helen Hunley Public Policy Graduate Scholarship

The Honourable W. Helen Hunley had the distinction of being the first woman to be appointed Lieutenant Governor of Alberta. She was very active in Alberta municipal and provincial politics and the first woman to be given full ministerial status in the Government of Alberta.



Eligibility Criteria:

  • Open to Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents living in Alberta.
  • Available to students registered in the Master of Public Policy Program in the School of Public Policy, University of Calgary.

Application Process:

  • Application Deadline: August 1 each year.
  • Students interested in the award must contact the School of Public Policy, University of Calgary.

Selection Process:

Recommendations are forwarded to the Graduate Scholarship office at the University of Calgary. Selection and recommendations are subject to final approval of the university’s Graduate Scholarship Committee.
